Thankfully, the school year is almost over and summer is about to start. And that means getting to do fun things like going to a resort, getting your drivers license, going to the pool, or just getting to sleep in. I’m personally excited to go to the pool more often.

Some people are excited about seeing their family over the summer like my cousin who when asked said this, “Seeing you guys.” Some people aren’t able to see their family that often so when it’s summer they can take the opportunity to see them as often as they can. My friend Paige said the same thing but with something added, “Sitting on the couch and possibly meeting with friends I haven’t seen in a while.” It’s always fun to meet up with people over the summer that you couldn’t see during the school year. And it’s also fun to be able to sit on the couch for most of the day as well.

However, some people aren’t as lucky as others for what their summer has in store. My friend Sofia said, “Honestly nothing, my life is a mess and summer is making it worse cause I’m probably going to move back to my country and I don’t want to.” Not everyone gets to have a happy summer and I was really sad when she told me this. I don’t want there to be a chance that I don’t see her next year, I’m still really upset about it.

All in all, I’m really excited about going on break and not worrying about turning things in on time. I really hope that everyone has a amazing summer and that everyone gets to sleep in.
