FSU went 13-0 in 2023. It was the Seminoles third time achieving an undefeated season. They won their last two games of the season without their main Quarterback Jordan Travis. Who got injured in a game against North Alabama in week 11. He broke his leg which left him out for the rest of the season.
But this didn’t stop the Seminoles because they still pulled off the win. Then in week 12 they played the Florida Gators. With backup Quarterback Tate Rodemaker in, the Noles are winning 17-15 late in the 4th Quarter and then Rodemaker rolls out and takes a big hit, and is out for the game with a concussion. The Freshman Quarterback Brock Glenn comes in and closes the game out for the Noles.
Florida state is 12-0 up to this point and advances to the ACC championship against the Louisville Cardinals. Brock Glenn has a great game and the Noles win their 13th straight game. With taking the Cardinals down the Seminoles are ACC champions. With the College football playoffs having 4 teams in it, many thought that FSU was automatically gonna make the College Football Playoffs and others differed. On December 3, 2023 FSU is left out. This upset many people and had fans question if the NCAA is fair towards every team. “Just because one player gets hurt, shouldn’t decide if a team will make it when they are 13-0” – said Charlie Davenport a long time FSU fan. Fans are still upset about it too this day and this will likely Iive on forever.
