Coming off a 13-0 regular season and being left out of the College Football Playoffs the Noles are ready to make a statement this year. At least they thought they were. The addition of many new transfers and there biggest one QB DJ Uiagalelei, had many FSU fans excited for the upcoming season. With all this hype and excitement, the Seminoles are ranked 10th. With their first game of the season being Georgia Tech, everybody thought FSU was going to destroy them. But they were in for a rude awakening.
When the game started FSU did not look great. They couldn’t really run or pass the ball, and the defense was giving up a lot of yards every play. Going into halftime the game is tied. During the game it looked like Florida State was not a Top 10 team. In the 3rd quarter no scores. Then in the 4th quarter both teams score and the game is still tied. It all comes down to Georgia Techs kicker making the game winning field goal. Then with 5 seconds left the kicker makes and Georgia Tech wins. Many fans are not happy with the team after having huge expectations for them this season. Many say that it is QB DJ Uiagalelei’s fault, for not playing to the best of his ability. Whoever’s fault it is, it needs to be fixed because they have a game against Boston College coming up.
With the game against Boston College coming up, the Seminoles are ready to bounce back after last week. Boston College is winning 14-6 going into halftime. At this time many start to say that we need to bench QB DJ Uiagalelei, because he is not performing as well as he should be. In the second half of the game Boston College adds 14 to their score, while the Noles only put up 7. This makes the score 28-13 and puts FSU at 0-2. Many fans are shocked and never think this would happen. “I was at the FSU vs Boston College game and fans were chanting ‘we want brock’, it was crazy”- said Charlie Davenport. Brock’ Glenn is the backup QB for Florida State. With these 2 loses, FSU was dropped out of the Top 25. FSU season is ruined and they most likely will not be in the College Football Playoffs.
