Setting a goal for yourself is an important step for high school students. Its feels crazy to think that the few years you have here begin to shape the identity of the person you want to become once you’re in the real world. Throughout high school, most kids begin to think or already know what they want to do when they graduate. 10 students at LMHS were interviewed based on where they see themselves after high school.

“After high school I plan to go to college. My goal is to do good in school in order to have a successful future. My dream is to have a job that makes me happy and makes me a lot of money. I want to be an athlete. I will achieve all this by working hard.”

“When I graduate I see myself getting ready for college. My goal is graduating with a 4.0 GPA. My dream is to be successful in life, what that looks like for me is being happy with all my life choices. The occupation i want is to be a doctor. I will achieve these things by keeping my grades up, and learning how to have better time management with studying.”

“ Before I officially graduate High School I plan to be a valedictorian. I then see myself moving to Massachusetts for MIT as my top college choice. Some goals and dreams of mine are to have a healthy schedule, and to have grades and schoolwork to be my top priority. In the next four years I plan to achieve what I want. My dream career is to be an astro biologist, which is part of the reason I want to go to MIT. I plan to keep rising and rising in any way I can be the best version of myself.”

“ The place I see myself going once I graduate is to college. I either want to go to college for marine biology or for clothing and modeling lowkey. My goal is to succeed in life and to not fail. My dream is to live a happy and healthy life with the people I like and love. A job I want to do is modeling but I’m not sure it will happen. I will achieve them by going to school, not failing, and keep trying.”
