Chatting With Our Choir Teacher Ms.Baeta
Ms. Baeta is a Lake Mary High school alum who has been teaching chorus here for the past three years. Though she has only been here for a short amount of time, she’s a favorite around the school. Many students have nothing but amazing things to say about her. So I decided to catch up with the interesting teacher, here’s what she said.
How do you feel that this week’s winter concert went?
I was really pleased with how the winter concert went! The students learned the music well and showed it on stage. Their behavior was stellar, which is equally as important to me.
What are you looking forward to with the future of the choir program?
I am looking forward to how this program continues to grow. Despite the difficulty of the last few years, I am really proud of what we have accomplished and look forward to seeing what we can do without these obstacles.
Is It weird working at your old high school?
Very weird! I never imagined myself coming back to LMHS, but it has also been a wonderful experience.
What’s it like being a teacher in your 20’s?
Also weird! I look young, so I often get confused for a student. I like to use it to my advantage though!
What inspired you to be a choir teacher?
My middle school choir teacher, Leslie Antmann. She has been a wonderful mentor and first made me fall in love with singing.
If you weren’t a choir teacher, what would you be?
I would probably be in public affairs or administration. I love helping people and that would allow me to help people in need.
