Lake Mary football 23-24

Lake Mary has had a lot of success with sports, but one of those was their football team. The past seasons have gone well for them and last season was no different. Freshman quarterback Noah Grubbs was the starter. But sometimes he would get subbed out by Logan Cook who is a senior playing wide reciever.  Last season Lake Mary went 6-3 in the regular season losing to Lake Brantley, Apopka, and Seminole. In the first round of the playoffs they played the 5th seed  Hagerty and won 28-0. In the 2nd round, they played a rematch against 2nd seed seminole and won 12-8 on a game winning drive by Noah Grubbs. In the 3rd round the 3rd seed in a rematch against 3rd seed Apopka and lost in a heartbreaking 30-23 after coming back down 16.  They have great expectations for this season. They beat Bishop moore in the kickoff classic and beat Dr Phillips in a high scoring 76-60 putting them 1-0. Noah also won player of the week with 8 touchdown passes and threw for over 500 passing yards.

The rams next opponent is the Ovideo lions who are 1-1 beating Lake Brantley 60-47 and losing to university 37-21. The last time these teams played Lake Mary won in a thrilling 13-7 after a defensive battle game. Lake Mary’s expectations are to play like it’s their last and to just everything on the field. If they want to have a successful season they have to play smart and not get into their heads about simple mistakes or missed calls. We will find out what happens for the rest of there 23-24 season.
