When you think of cheerleading,you  think of all the girls cheering for our schools athletes and having a great time doing so.They have all their makeup and hair done and know all of the cheers.Today we have decided to interview one of LMHS cheerleaders Skyler Wiley to find out more about LMHS cheer and what makes cheer so exciting.

• Why do you cheer? “I do cheer bc i really enjoy all the teamwork and i love performing”
• What is your favorite stunt to do? “My favorite stunt is baskets”
• Do you go to any competitions? “Yes,for comp cheer at lake mary we go to competitions,but sideline doesn’t compete”  
• What other group activities do you guys do outside of cheer? “Sometimes we go to each other’s houses or halloween horror nights”
• What got you into cheer? “When i was little i loved watching people flip and wear sparkly uniforms so i wanted to do it”
• How long have you been cheering for?”I have been doing cheer for 9 years”
• Some people think cheer isn’t a sport; what is your take on that? “I think cheer is a sport bc a sport is something you go compete with,have teammates,practices,and put all your effort into it.Cheer is all of those so yes i think its a sport”
