If you are like me then you are probably in high school. The problem about high school isn’t the school work
or sports but it’s the waking up at 6:00 am just so you can get ready for school or get on the bus. So many teens like me grab a quick magic drink to get the day started… An Energy drink. The best way to start your morning. You crack it open and an instant burst of energy just flows threw your veins. Not only does it provide energy but they taste exquisite, taste such as strawberry sunrise to pink peach. I think that most teen love the taste soo much that they want another energy drink threw out the day possibly at lunch or in 5th period but why should you not do this.
First of all, you are probably are thinking “ what’s wrong with me drinking multiple energy drinks I love my alanis?” Your alanis that you are drinking have 200mg’s of caffeine and the average person should have a max of 350mg’s and I see many people that drink like 3 of them a day. But if they drink 3 a day and there’s still at school they must be fine right. No just because they are okay now does not mean that if they are going to be ok later down the road.
This person I’m talking about drinking 3 energy drinks a day might be you, and you should stop that because drinking multiple energy is hurting you body drastically. Most energy drinks contain between 150mg and 300mg of caffeine. This can cause a caffeine overload which might cause you to have jitters but will also make you heart stress. Excessive caffeine can lead to palpitations, high blood pressure, and in extreme cases, atrial fibrillation and possible heart attacks.
That’s not the only problem we’re having multiple energy drinks. They also make your sugar spike.Drinking
several of these is like having your 1 month old little sibling climb a mountain, it just wouldn’t end good. It causes massive insulin spikes, which can lead to weight gain and increased risk of Type 2 diabetes over time.Sugar gives you a quick rush, but combined with caffeine, it actually dehydrates you faster. It also causes an overkill in B vitamin. While B-vitamins are good, energy drinks often contain 2000% or more of your daily value. this could cause kidney strain, your body can’t store more of these extra vitamins, so your kidneys have to work overtime to filter and flush the excess out.
Multiple energy drinks are just not good if you want to continue to do that you can but I highly recommend that you don’t because it’s only really harming your body and also you might be saying it’s keeping me awake but caffeine has a half-life about 5 to 6 hours and if you’re drinking multiple threw out the day or if you’re even having them in the afternoon, the caffeine will still be buzzing in your brain whenever it’s time to go to sleep, which ruins your REM cycle making it more difficult to wake up the next morning so then you’ll be more sleepy and have more energy drinks and sleep really good and we need it to function and if we keep on having more energy drinks in the afternoon, we’re not gonna be treating our bodies the way that we need to be.
