Let’s get some motivation to work out!

Last year was a big challenge for me, I wanted to start working out but I couldn’t find any motivation. Then COVID happened, and what can I say… I needed to do something during quarantine, so I thought, “this could be the perfect time to start working out”. My cousin used to live with me, she also wanted to start working out; so she downloaded an app on her phone which gave her exercises to do each day, I started working out with her and it was amazing. But then I moved states and now I just live with my parents. I told myself I was going to start working out from the beginning of the year, but the truth is that January is almost over and I haven’t worked out yet.

I really want to start working out, but I need to find some motivation. I guess last year my cousin was the one who motivated me to work out, but now that I’m alone I believe I need to find other things.

Anyways, the other day I was looking up ideas on my phone and I found some good ones, so I thought it was a good idea to share them! Here they are:

1- PUT YOUR WORKOUT CLOTHES ON; don’t think about it, just get dressed; it’s the best way to get motivated to work out. You’re not going to just plop yourself on the couch after having put your training clothes. Find something that fits you and makes you feel good when you wear it.

2- SURROUND YOURSELF WITH MOTIVATION; you also need to hang around with people that make you feel capable of reaching your goals!!

3- LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE SONGS; music can be very helpful while working out, I think this is my favorite motivation!

  • Relieves boredom
  • Puts you in a better mood
  • It’s a good king of distraction
  • It makes you want to move
  • It makes you happy!

4- THINK OF THE RESULTS; thinking about how working out can change you physically and mentally could motivate you to start doing it, at the end working out will always benefit you no matter what.

5- RELIEVE STRESS AND FEEL CONFIDENT; regular exercise can increase self-confidence, improve your mood, help you relax, and it can also improve your sleep which is often disrupted by stress. You may feel more confident after working out and that could motivate you to work out more often.

In conclusion, I think working out has a lot of benefits; I’m going to start working out, what about you?
