Music is a huge part of Gen Z culture, especially for high school students who are always putting each other on to new artists. Recently, one debate that keeps coming up is which album is better: RIB by Che or PSYKOTIC by Osamason. Both albums have been getting a lot of attention online, especially on TikTok and in underground rap communities, so teens definitely have opinions.
Some people think RIB just hits harder overall. Jordan says Che’s sound is more replayable. “I’m not gonna lie, RIB is just different. The beats go crazy and it’s the type of album you can play on repeat without skipping. Every time it comes on in the car everyone’s like ‘wait run that back.’”
Others think PSYKOTIC clears. Kayla says Osamason’s style feels more unique. “Osamason lowkey snapped on PSYKOTIC. The whole vibe is kinda chaotic but in a good way. Like it just sounds different from everything else right now.”
Then there are people who say it really depends on your taste. Darius thinks both artists bring something different. “Honestly the debate is kinda pointless because they both hard. If you like more chill but still hype stuff you’re probably picking Che, but if you want something that feels more wild and experimental you’re going Osamason. Either way your playlist still valid.”
At the end of the day, the RIB vs PSYKOTIC argument is probably not ending anytime soon. With Gen Z constantly sharing music through TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify playlists, debates like this are just part of the culture.
