Private schools are schools that aren’t funded by the government, they are independent while public schools are government funded and not independent. For some people, private schools are preferred because the teaching material is specialized and they have higher standards for their students. Other people also prefer public schools because it’s very affordable and it’s an easy way to get education without having to pay a lot of money. Both public and private schools offer diverse benefits to students and they educate their students in different ways.

To begin with, public schools offer education that is funded by taxes and is required to accept students. It is also free to attend a public school, the only things that would need to be paid for is school lunch or school activities if needed.  Public schools are open to all students and often accept students with different backgrounds. In a public school with a diversity of students, it can teach kids to develop social awareness and to treat everyone with respect no matter what. The downside to public schools is that sometimes there may be too many students and classes can be larger than others and require more resources. Resources can be limited to teachers and students in some schools depending on the budget of the school. Teacher shortages are also a common thing within public schools which affects the students access to learning.

In contrast to public schools, public schools are not government but instead independent. They are funded by fees paid by students families, tuition, and fundraisers. Families send their kids to private schools based on what there learning curricula is because private schools have their own academic focuses. For example, some private schools are religion based which means that students education is going to be combined with the religious beliefs of the school. In  summary, private schools are pretty expensive but they provide specialized education to students which is what some families look for. Some people might feel that one school is better than the other but it really depends on families and how parents want to raise their children.
