Ben Thayer is a sophomore on the JV Lake Mary Highschool Baseball team. Ben has been playing baseball for many years of his life and today were interviewing him many questions about his journey

Q: When did you start baseball?

A:” When i was around 8 years old fell in love fast.”

Q: What do you like about baseball?

A: “The competitivness and how much you have to try as a player to succeed.”

Q: What would you tell someone if they wanted to give up on baseball

A: ” I mean just dont, the sport can be tuff sometimes but i truly believe if you keep trying you can always make it past that blank spot”

Q: What was your favorite experience in a match

A: “When my teammate Alden Hickey face planted sliding into home, made everyone laugh and was overall a good experience”

Q: Whats your favorite warm up song? 

A: “Family ties by Baby Keem Ft Kendrick Lamar, Just really gets me ready for a game.”

Q: What position do you play?

A: “I play first and third base”

Q: Who is your favorite baseball player?

A: “Andrew McCutchen”

Q: How many hours a week do you train?

A: ” I’d say i train about 20 hours a week”.
