To change the environment your in and your life like your habits is good because it is good for new experiences and growth. To change yourself is kinda harder, you can self-improve and not follow others in what they do in life or to fit their expectations. This can be very stressful and overwhelming but changing things can help with learning and controlling yourself in certain situations. Reasons changing yourself could be good is being able to control your emotions, having new experiences in life that can get you places, and helps with how you handle stress. Some reasons that changing could be bad for you is because you could start changing for others instead of for yourself or changing to act like someone else, and this can also cause stress. These are some things that kids want to change about themselves.
Aaron Thompkins-” One thing I would want to change is self awareness being grateful for the blessings I have right in front of me instead of asking for more. Being grateful is very helpful to have in life.’
Danny Ayoub-” To be more committed because I wasn’t fully committed to doing stuff last year and I really wanna change that so I do not feel lazy.”
Haylen Caldwell-” I want to go to the gym more so I can get stronger for softball and for general health.”
Joey Fetchick-” I want to get bigger and stronger for baseball because I’m very skinny right now so it would help me a lot.”
MiaJade Ramos- ” Something I wanna chance about myself in 2026 is my patience and my understanding. I feel like 2025 was a rough year for most. I tend to blame myself for things that are out of my control and mm constantly hard on myself. I rush to try to fix things without taking it one step at a time and then wonder why it isn’t fixed after a few days. so that’s where the patience comes in. I need to be patient with myself for the better of myself and others.”
So from all these people we get different answers on what they wanna change for themselves this year. Some want to be more appreciating about life, some want to gain more patience, and others wanna change physically and get better at sports. It will always be different depending on the person because we aren’t the same person going through the same stuff. This shows that changing is good even though it will take a lot of time and patience.
